Double H cowboy boots have been popular since 1955. It's surprising to find that these incredible boots started out in a closed-down shoe factory. In Richland, PA, the H.H. Brown Shoe Company bought that unused factory and turned into a manufacturing facility for cowboy boots and work boots. It was known as the Richland Shoe Company. There was a huge competition in who was the best creator of cowboy boots, and soon enough, the harness boot was launched by a rival company. As a response to their challenge, the owner, H.H. Brown, created what is called the snoot boot. It was very much like the harness boot, but the cost was minimal because it was produced at the Richland facility. They started a production line, and Double H cowboy boots were born.

The Richland Shoe Company was actually the first shoe company to ever produce safety toe cowboy boots. They had steel toes, which provided ample protection. This is what we now know as the Class 75 ANSI boot. It was the first boot to ever make that standard or grade. Updated with a few tweaks from newer technology such as decorative stitching using computerized machines, these had an overhaul. They became more fashionable, and were known as the fashionable western style boots. In 1981, they started mass production. They expanded to Womelsdorf. This further catapulted the company into success, because of the higher storing capability, and production capacity. However, it wasn't until 1993 until they changed their name into something more appropriate: Double-H cowboy boots. The name was a click because it sounded more Wild West.

Come 2001, even more boundaries were pushed. They launched the Ice collection; something more appropriate for the times. The collection can be used both for work and play. They had a variety of styles, including pull-on boots, and lace-up style boots. They were made with a resilient Ice bottoms, along with a patented Aero Glide 7 comfort system. This made wearing the boot convenient and very comfortable because of the line's success, they produced two more lines: the Oak Ice and Black Ice. They were made with fashion in mind, but comfort was never forgotten. The Pillow Cushion was still incorporated into the design. Double H cowboy boots is always expanding and growing. In 2002, they bought the Acme Boot Company. They turned it into a line which could cater to all ages, of all genders. After all, everyone wants a pair of Double H cowboy boots. Acme was still retained as the brand name. They launched the Sonora line in 2005. They opted for a more high-fashion look, with cowboy inspired themes. They have been making those boots season after season.

Double H cowboy boots are very affordable as they can be bought for as low as a hundred dollars. Because of their high quality, they can be used for decades. They are also very versatile, and can stand up to a variety of tasks while still looking good enough for a night out on the town.
